Engineer. Researcher.
Perpetual Learner.
Building at the intersection of AI, embedded systems, and full-stack development from Bharatpur, Nepal.
I'm Amrit Kandel — a final-year student at IOE Thapathali Campus (Tribhuvan University), pursuing B.E. in Electronics, Communication & Information Engineering.
My passion sits firmly at the crossroads of machine learning research and real-world engineering. I'm the kind of engineer who gets excited about training a person re-identification model at 2 AM just as much as wiring up an ESP32 for a Li-Fi system.
I have hands-on experience across the full spectrum — from building end-to-end computer vision pipelines (YOLO + ByteTrack + OSNet) to architecting cloud data engineering solutions on Azure. I've published research on water quality prediction using explainable AI, and I'm currently exploring multi-camera person tracking as part of my capstone work.
When I'm not training models or debugging API endpoints, I'm either contributing to open-source tools or running board game AI experiments (minimax with alpha-beta pruning, anyone?).
